ANR bronze statues at Ramapuram, Gudivada
ANR bronze statues at Ramapuram, Gudivada, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, ANR. ANR statue committee president K Vijaya Kumar Reddy and others also spoke.
Gudivada: Bronze statues of Telugu film legend Akkineni Nageswara Rao will come up at his native Ramapuram village, besides Gudivada town.
A few diehard fans of ‘Nata Samrat’ will bear the cost incurred on the setting up of the statues.
Disclosing this to newsmen here, former MLA Kodali Nani said that a statue committee had already been formed by a group of fans of the great actor. Without seeking contributions from anybody, the ANR statue panel would install bronze statues of ANR and his wife Annapurna near Akkineni Kalapeetham at Ramapuram on the same lines of the statues of NTR-Basavatarakam statues erected at Nimmakuru. Similarly, another statue of ANR would be set up at a selected place in Gudivada town, Mr Nani said.
