Congress, TDP have lost face: Jagan, YSRCP, Jaganmohan Reddy. Jaganmohan Reddy was forced to cut short his speech because of throat problem.

  • TDP chief helped Congress pave way for bifurcation of the State
  • People aware of uncompromising stance by YSRCP against division

Tirupati: The Congress Party which became desperate having done nothing to the people resorted to the division of the State in a frantic effort to retain power, criticised YSRCP chief and Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

Addressing a public meeting here, after the darshan of Lord Venkateswara, on Saturday, Jaganmohan Reddy said that neither the ruling party nor the opposition TDP could dare face the people as they had nothing say to the people on their achievements. “These parties are not even in position to go the people,” he said and claimed that the YSRCP with its uncompromising approach in politics was the only party which had the guts to go to the people to seek votes.

Saying that it was very distressing to see UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and BJP leader Sushma Swaraja vying with each other to claim the credit for the bifurcation of State even as the people were in deep anguish, he accused them of playing with the sentiments of people for their vested interests. In this connection, he said that due to ill-fate of the people (mana karma koddi), the Congress and the BJP joined hands for the bifurcation, while in the state TDP hobnobbed with Congress, and laid the path for the division. Reminding the people that he kick-started ‘Samaikya Sankaravam’ and ‘Poru Bata’ campaigns from Chittoor district two months ago, he said sadly that the Congress turned a deaf ear to the voices of the people and hurried with the division in the most objectionable manner, leaving the people, youth and farmers from Chittoor to Srikakulam in dejection. They were much worried over their future in the aftermath of bifurcation.

Jaganmohan Reddy was forced to cut short his speech because of throat problem. Earlier, YSRCP leader Roja slammed Sonia Gandhi and said that even a step-mother would not act in such a cruel manner in bifurcating the State. She urged the people to teach a bitter lesson to the Congress party in the elections.
