ESL Narasimhan Reverses Kiran Kumar’s Last-Minute PostingsHyderabad: Raj Bhavan on Monday was abuzz with administrative activity. Governor ESL Narasimhan had a steady stream of visitors representing different wings of the State administration. He made a review of some of the last-minute postings given to some senior IAS officers by the Kiran Kumar Reddy government.

S S Rawat, who was transferred as managing director of AP Genco from CMO, was shifted to Social Welfare. Likewise, Ananth Ramu, who approached CAT on his transfer sent back to his old post as commissioner of transport. K Vijayanand, who was shifted from Genco was asked to continue in the same post.

K C Reddy, chairman of Rajiv Education and Employment Mission in Andhra Pradesh (REEMAP), has submitted his resignation to the Governor on Monday.

Reddy, who was appointed to the post by Kiran Kumar Reddy, went to Raj Bhavan and submitted his resignation to the Governor. Sources said that the Governor asked the officials to submit the list of nominated posts in the State. Chief Secretary PK Mohanty met Governor and briefed the plans being implemented for Andhra Pradesh bifurcation.

The Governor will leave for Delhi on Tuesday to meet President Pranab Mukherjee.

AP Legislative Council Chairman A Chakrapani, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Mayor Mahammad Majid Hussain, Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao and CPI secretary K Narayana made courtesy calls to Governor in Raj Bhavan.

On the other hand, the former ministers vacated their peshis by taking away their files, documents and belongings from their respective offices in the Secretariat. The private secretaries of minister peshis received a circular from general administration to hand over the computers and Xerox machines to the government and vacate the offices by March 7.
