He referred to Naidu’s promise of waiving loans of Dwcra groups and farmers, which total a staggering Rs 60,000 crore, and said it would not be possible to honour. The young MP said that he remembered the assurances given to the people of the town and would keep them at any cost.

He pledged to construct a bridge linking the Godavari districts and to build a harbor for the benefit of fishermen. The YSRCP chief reiterated his promise of signing four key files after taking the oath as the Chief Minister of the State.

Speaking after Jagan was given a rousing welcome for his ‘Jana Bheri’, Subbarayudu praised him that he was the “only leader who fought for the State’s unity and one who did not even care for his life, if he had to stand by his word.”

The Kadapa MP rode on a flower-bedecked chariot pulled by seven horses from the bus-stand centre. Crowds cheered him all along, and threw flower petals and raised ‘Jai Jagan’ slogans.
