Electricity Bills To Shake People of Hyderabad. In addition to the existing current bills, most of the consumers in the city have been asked to pay thousands of rupees as development charges as they have been using additional electricity, which is more than their sanctioned limit.
Hyderabad: In addition to the existing current bills, most of the consumers in the city have been asked to pay thousands of rupees as development charges as they have been using additional electricity, which is more than their sanctioned limit. This bolt from the blue charge has stunned the consumers of electricity and they claim lack of lucidity in imposing such charges illogically without prior public notice. In addition to this, APCPDCL has also warned that failure to pay the additional charge within 24 hours will result in disconnection of electricity.
As per the existing norms of AP Electricity Regulatory Commissions (APERC), the department is supposed to give a month’s notice and also display it on the notice boards at the regional offices and outlets. Officials, meanwhile, say that collection of development charges is a usual issue.
