Dalits will get their due in T State: Kavitha

Hyderabad: The Dalits, who were marginalised and alienated in Telangana, would get their due once the new State was formed, stated K Kavitha, Telangana Jagruthi president.

She was speaking at the meeting organised by Telangana Ambedkar Youth Association here on Sunday. In response to a question she said reservations for Dalits would be implemented, adding emancipation of Dalits would be included in the election manifesto of TRS. Vacant posts would be filled by SCs and STs, she said Members of the association urged the TRS to stand by its earlier promise of making a Dalit as the first Chief Minister of the Telangana State. They also demanded the TRS to take up the cause of the Dalits in the new State.
