In a latest development, ex chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and BSP boss Mayawati is trying to hog the limelight stating that her party played a significant role in making Telangana a reality!
In an attempt to woo Telugu voters, Maya encouraged people in both Seemandhra as well as the Telangana regions to support BSP candidates in order to lend power to people from SC/ST and backward classes.
Mayawati stated that Telangana comprises weaker sections and neglected. Thus making it as a separate state is justified.
She was addressing a gathering at Nizam Grounds in Hyderabad. She asserted that her party favoured smaller states as they are easier to manage. "Development too becomes easier," she added.
While Mayawati termed 'inefficient' UPA rule 'most corrupt', she called BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi unfit to take on such a huge responsibility. She also blamed the Gujarat chief minister for the Godhra riots.
