Hyderabad: The Union Home Ministry on Thursday has decided to not give any options for the IAS/IPS officers of other states working in Andhra Pradesh in the milieu of state bifurcation. Nevertheless, an option will be given to the state officials to execute their option between the two states. Mohanty, the Chief Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh state has called on Pratyush Sinha committee members in Delhi on Thursday.

The Centre has taken a decision to this extent for the All India Service employees like IAS, IPS and IFS. At present there are 284 IAS, 209 IPS and 136 IFS officials rendering their services in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The Kamalanathan committee has already procured the mandatory information for the distribution of employees between the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This information was also considered by the Pratyush Sinha Committee.

It is evident that Pratyush Sinha Committee has been nominated with five members by the Centre to look into the issues of the civil services employees in the milieu of the state bifurcation.

From the other end, amidst a contentious process, the dividing process of government departments between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is rolling swift.

Nevertheless, the process has not yet began due to altercation between Telangana and Seemandhra employees over giving staff, the option to work in their present place of work. The confrontation may create harsh incongruities in various departments after the state is bifurcated and the new government will have to thrash about to run the administration after June 2, the appointed day of the newly emerging states. The state government has to release guidelines for division of the employees on Thursday. Nevertheless, the same appears as unsure. The government was forced to see the sights of other options like dividing staff on a provisional basis for now and leaving the final division to respective state governments that will assume charge after the appointed day.

Official sources in General Administration Department (GAD) in Secretariat on Wednesday said that the government is setting up to come out with modalities for temporary division of staff on May 20 and the process may be completed byMay 25.
