The new government may also announce benefits for the families of those who reportedly died while taking part in the movement.

Hyderabad: New Government May Lift Cases Against Telangana Activists

This was indicated here on Sunday evening by Anurag Sharma, who will be the first DGP of the Telangana State. When asked about any Maoists threat in the new State, Sharma said that Maoist violence was not a new problem in the country and with joint operations on bordering areas the police could successfully check the activities of the insurgents. The police forces should be strengthened and counter action teams should be deployed in the Maoist-affected areas, he added. According to sources B Sivadhar Reddy will be the Intelligence Chief of Telangana and M Mahender Reddy will be the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner.
