As decided by the party’s central committee, headed by Jagan, the review is being taken up on June 4, 5 and 6 for Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari districts at Rajahmundry. The YSRCP chief got a rousing welcome, on his first visit to the district after the elections, at Madhurapudi airport and R & B Guest House, where the reviews are being conducted. Senior party leaders M V Mysoora Reddy, Bhooma Nagi Reddy, Ummareddy Venkateswarlu, Pilli Subashchandra Bose, Jyothula Nehru, Jakkampudi Vijayalakshmi, along with district coordinators, elected MLAs from the five districts, candidates who lost and official spokespersons of the districts were present. The review started with Tuni Assembly constituency where Dadisetti Raja won. Jagan later reviewed Prattipadu, Peddapuram, Pitapuram and Kakinada Rural polls.

The review of two segments of the Kakinada Lok Sabha constituency---Jaggampeta and Kakinada Town---was cancelled as Jagan got delayed. Addressing the meeting, he said the party would continue its struggle for people’s welfare and closely monitor implementation of the TDP’s election promises. Admitting that there was a ‘minor setback’, Jagan said the party never lagged behind. He explained that the difference between victory and defeat was mere 1.9 per cent despite the TDP-BJP tie-up and the Modi wave.
