According to sources, several visitors started arriving at the venue in the afternoon itself so as to get a seat for themselves. However, except for the VVIP seating lounge none of the other places has a shelter.
To get temporary relief from the hot sun, a few TDP activists tried to rest under the shelter.
The police manning the venue, however, did not take kindly to this. A few cops asked the visitors to empty the chairs as the VVIPs would arrive anytime soon.
This made the TDP activists angry who got into a minor scuffle with the police. According to a news report, the police resorted to minor lathicharge to bring the situation under control.
