T Assembly meet from tomorrow
Hyderabad: Telangana Assembly Meet From Tomorrow, The maiden session of the Telangana State Assembly will be held from Monday. Pro-tem Speaker K Jana Reddy will administer the oath of office to the newly elected members.

Hyderabad: The maiden session of the Telangana State Assembly will be held from Monday. Pro-tem Speaker K Jana Reddy will administer the oath of office to the newly elected members. Governor E S L Narsimhan will administer oath of office to Jana Reddy on Monday at 9.30 am in Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan.

The first two days of the session will be limited to oath-taking and the election of the Speaker will take place on the third day. The TRS leaders are already in touch with the floor leaders of all the political parties to ensure smooth election of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker. According to Minister for Legislative Affairs T Harish Rao, the Governor will deliver the joint address to both Houses at 11 am on Wednesday.
According to sources, Madhusudhana Chari and Koppula Eshawar are the front-runners for the post of Speaker. It is learnt that though KCR prefers Eshwar, the latter is not too inclined to accept the post. Eshwar wants a berth in the Council of Ministers. Chari who is a loyal party leader is likely to be the next best choice. Party sources said that the government is also considering a proposal to reconvene the Assembly by June end for the regular session and the possibility of expansion of the Cabinet between the two sessions is not ruled out. The Assembly has to take up the budget by August since a vote-on-account was presented in February in the previous House representing two States.
