Chandrababu addressed the state assembly after Kodela took over the charge of the speaker. He said that Kodela has been an efficient leader who used to finish whatever the task assigned to him, most ably.
Further, Naidu said that he was famous among the agrarian communities as he has been working for their welfare. Naidu said that Kodela was known as the leader for farmers. Further, he said that Kodela had contributed his best for the establishment of Basava Tarakam Cancer hospital in Hyderabad. Chandrababu congratulated him both as an individual and as Telugu Desam Party Chief for taking the charges of the first speaker of residuary Andhra Pradesh.

From the other end, YS Jagan, the leader of opposition in the Andhra Pradesh state assembly, addressed the house in the capacity of the leader of opposition and congratulated Kodela Shiva Prasada Rao, for taking the charges as the first speaker of Andhra Pradesh state assembly.
YS Jagan said that Speaker was like an axle to the lug of democracy. He urged the speaker to be impartial and act neutrally. He hoped that Kodela who has a vast experience as a legislature would give his best as the speaker of the house.
