Nellore mayor to join TDP tomorrow
Aziz, the mayor of the Nellore Municipal Corporation, is learnt to be joining Telugu Desam Party early on Monday, according to sources. It is also learnt that he will be accompanied by more 15 corporators. More details are awaited.

Post election results many prominent leaders of the YSR Congress Party have been joining TDP. A recent set back to YSR Congress Party has been its Dalit leader, Jupudi Prabhakar Rao, who is also an MLC, who on Saturday quit the party alleging that there was no place for the genuine followers of late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy in it and that only relatives of the party chief were ruling the roost.
Announcing his decision at a press conference here, Prabhakar Rao said that he was particularly pained at party MP from Ongole Y.V. Subba Reddy’s comments that he did not know who Prabhakar Rao was, when the summons pertaining to a political case were served against seven of the party leaders, including he and Subba Reddy.
Stating that insecurity was prevailing among party leaders and added that the survival of such a party in the long run was very difficult. He had brought the matter to the notice of party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy after the elections, but to no avail. Jupudi also resigned to the posts of central council member and official spokesperson in the party by sending his letter to the party chief.
