Hyderabad: Early on Tuesday, an RTC bus overturned near Kovuripalli of Bogolu Mandal in Nellore district. In this incident, most of the passengers travelling by the bus sustained stern injuries. It is learnt that the bus was on its way from Visakhapatnam to Bengaluru, at the time of the accident. The Bus No has been identified as AP 29Z 661. The victims have been rushed to a nearby hospital. More details in the matter are awaited.
RTC buses which have been known for the safe journey have lost their credibility due to the increased number of accidents over a period of time. More than 10 accidents in which the RTC buses were involved have been registered in the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states in the last couple of months. Surely, something is going wrong. There is a need to conduct regular training to the RTC drivers, at this juncture.
