Rajya Sabha member and legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar arrived at the Krishnapatnam port near Nellore on Sundy morning, on his way to a village which he has decided to adopt.
Nellore: Rajya Sabha member and legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar arrived at the Krishnapatnam port near Nellore on Sundy morning, on his way to a village which he has decided to adopt.
Mr Tendulkar was accorded a warm welcome by the port officials. He also received a guard of honour by the probationers at the Krishnapatnam Port Security Academy.
A huge number of port employees and their children turned up to catch a glimpse of the 'Little Master'.Today he will be participate in various programmes .
This will be his first visit to the village after his announcement to adopt it under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna. He plans to undertake various development work in the village at a cost of Rs. 2.79 crore under his MP Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) funds.
Mr Tendulkar will interact with farmers, children and youth in the village, 18 km from Gudur town.
