Reliance Quiz semi-finals, grand finale on Dec 26
In a gripping preliminary round, eight teams were selected in the written test as part of Reliance Dhirubhai Ambani Quiz (RDAQ-2014) held at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Tuesday.
Kakinada (East Godavari): In a gripping preliminary round, eight teams were selected in the written test as part of Reliance Dhirubhai Ambani Quiz (RDAQ-2014) held at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Tuesday.
Three government schools with names of students in brackets– Dr DS Raju APRS, Bhupathipalem (Ramkumar, Suryachandra); ZPHS, Sivala (Anjana Nandan, Srinivas); ZPHS, P Donthamuru (Nageswar Rao, Saikumar) and two private schools –Akshara School, Kakinada (Jessica Jacob, Ch Nookaraju), Asram Public School, Kakinada (Krishnasis Pradhan, Yatin Koushik) made it to the semifinals of the fifth edition of the prestigious district-level quiz competition.
Based on the regional quiz, three teams among the government schools and two in the private school stream were selected to the semi-finals.
The semi-finals and the grand finale will be held on December 26 at JNTU Alumni Auditorium in Kakinada.
Around 660 students from 165 schools across the Kakinada division took part in the preliminary quiz competition. East Godavari District Deputy Educational Officers V Narasamma and R S Ganga Bhavani were chief guests.
RIL officials N Ravichandran (Head- Support Services), G Sreerama Murthy (Head-HSE), Surya Vaddadhi (Head- IT), T Viswanath (Head- P&C), Pankaj Ballabh and VVD Prasad were present. 'Young World' fame V V Ramanan was the Quiz Master. As part of various educational support initiatives under the Corporate Social Responsibility, the RIL, in association with District Education Department, started this district-level quiz competition to commemorate the 82nd birth anniversary of company founder chairman Dhirubhai H Ambani on December 28.
