Palle sees sabotage in crops burning, Addressing the media here on Tuesday, he condemned the burning of crops in 13 areas in six villages in Guntur district which were selected for the proposed capital city.
Anantapur: Minister for IT, Information and Public Relations Palle Raghunatha Reddy alleged the role of the YSRCP leaders in burning the crops, banana plantations and haystack in the areas where the government has taken up the land pooling for the proposed capital city.
Addressing the media here on Tuesday, he condemned the burning of crops in 13 areas in six villages in Guntur district which were selected for the proposed capital city. He described it as a heinous crime as it had created trouble for famers.
“We will not spare anybody how mighty they are if proved that they were involved in the crime. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had introduced land pooling system and announced special package for those farmers who agreed to give their land to the government,” he warned.
He alleged that YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his MLAs might have hatched a conspiracy to defame the TDP as the party would get credit if the world class capital city was constructed. He reminded that the YSRCP leaders had factionist background whereas the TDP leaders have clean image.
In fact, the aim of TDP is uplift of farmers, as it has been proved by the Chief Minster who waived the loans of the farmers. The government would render justice to those farmers who had given their lands to the government.
He allayed the fears of farmers and gave an assurance to the farmers stating that they would launch a probe into the incident and nab the culprits and punish them.
Will transform AP into a health hub
The Minister stated that they would transform the State into a health hub. The Chief Minister is keen on providing better medical facilities in the State as it’s lagging behind Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala States in health sector.
According to a survey, over 1.20 crore people are dying across the country due to mosquito bites. Therefore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Swachh Bharat programme, and taking a cue from him Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, too, has launched the Swachhandhra Pradesh in the State to keep the surroundings clean and put diseases at bay.
He pointed out that an individual is spending 80 per cent on medical expenses. Stressing on the need for providing better medical facilities, he directed the medical and health department officials to strive to contain the maternal and infant mortality rates.
“The Ministers and MLAs belonging to the district urged the Chief Minster to exert pressure on the Centre to allocate Rs 10,000 crore package for drought-hit Anantapur district, he said. In order to tide over the water crisis, the government will be setting up Water Grid with Rs 2,400 crore, he said.
The Chief Minster was planning to make the district prosperous by completing the Handri Neeva Project, he said.
