Sankranthi to AP as Bathukamma is to Telangana

It's a known fact that soon after TRS chief Chandrashekar Rao took charge as the Chief Minister of Telangana, the first thing he did was to revive Telangana culture. A step in that direction was when he made Bathukamma as the official festival of the state. Now, we hear the AP government too wants to follow suit.

Andhra Pradesh will now celebrate Sankranti as the state festival. We already told you that festivities have already begun with Sankranti mood in AP Secretariat in Hyderabad. Rangoli competitions and sending Sankranti goodies to farmers are a few of the indicators.
