The highway patrol police found an Eicher vehicle with a punctured tyre stranded for about 12 hours on the National Highway on Thursday. The driver failed to give a proper answer and only said he couldn’t find A mechanic to replace the tyre.
Meanwhile, a red sanders mafia gang searched for the vehicle with the smuggled lot on the National Highway in a special vehicle. The police observed this speeding vehicle and tried to stop it, but in vain.
The Eicher driver also escaped. The police found 73 red sanders logs covered under banana bunches in Eicher. After observing marks on the logs, they suspect that they were the same which were seized near Kotakonda.
