Rajahmundry: A drunken driver has created panic among bus passengers in East Godavari district in the early hours of Thursday. N Adi Narayana, who drove a private bus from Vizag to Vijayawada under heavy influence of alcohol rashly causing fear among passengers. Panic-stricken passengers forcefully stopped the bus at Ravula Palem police station and handed over the drunken driver to the police. The police have tested the driver with breathalyzer and booked a case against him.
When the police produced him before the court, the judge slapped him with the fine of Rs 1,000. The second driver of the bus took the passengers to Vijayawada safely.
