Hyderabad: Why the Members of Parliament be elected, if nobody listens to them and only the words of PM and CM run in this country? The eccentric Anantapur TDP MP JC Diwakar Reddy known for his off the cuff jibes at every one has struck again with his comments coming softly though on Chandrababu Naidu but harshly on the centre.

The Anantapur TDP MP accused the Union Government of not listening to or even considering any of the suggestions offered on the development of States like Andhra Pradesh and Telengana, during Parliament sessions. JC is one of the congress leaders from the land of Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy who is known not to mince words and for his outspoken ways.

Diwakar Reddy, the strongman of Tadapatri in Anantapur district was a close associate of YSR, but after 2009 even Rajasekhar Reddy had denied him a cabinet berth in view of his loose talks and attacks left right and center. After almost five years in oblivion, JC as he is popularly called joined the TDP and contested for Anantapur parliament seat in 2014 and won it in the anti-congress wave.

In a sarcastic comment, JC conveyed to the voters of Anantapur parliamentary constituency that he was helpless as the center had not been taking note of MPs' suggestions."I am sorry that I have not been able to do anything for you people about the continued drought situation in the district. The Union Government is not considering any of our (MPs') requests," he said.

In a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for alleged unilateral decisions, JC said that only the decision and the opinion of the Prime Minister were reflected in the policy decisions of the Government of India and policies of the parliament. "Only Modi's words are treated as holy gospel and Bhagvad Gita," he said.

JC went on to say that the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister are the only important persons and offices in this country. Whatever the Prime Minister decides is the rule and what the Chief Minister says is an 'order'. "Rather than electing us, people should have been allowed to elect only the Chief Ministers and the Prime Minister directly," said Reddy indicating that the MPs and legislators were powerless in the current setup.

JC had made controversial comments on Sonia Gandhi demanding her resignation after the party's debacle in several assembly polls before 2014 general elections for which he was suspended. He had joined the TDP and Chandrababu had given him the Anantapur ticket.
