Just after 9 months post bifurcation of the Andhra Pradesh state, new statehood demand for Uttarandhra is spreading over the social media. A group of people with an intention to gather the people of Vishakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram under one roof, a page was created on social media sites called the ‘Uttarandhra State’ to begin a movement for a separate state.
Chandrasekhar Buddha, CEO of New World Software Pvt Ltd who also tested his luck as Independent from Visakha Lok Sabha seat in 2014 Polls is among the five administrators of the ‘Uttarandhra State’ page. Complaining that injustice was rendered to the North Coastal Andhra, the administrators believe that the statehood is the final option if the Government continues to disregard the plight of the people.
Even Lagudu Govinda Rao, the Uttarandhra Development Forum president extended support to this group in demand for separate Statehood for the region.
