Hyderabad: Thunderstorms were witnessed in Coastal Andhra Pradesh between 8.30 am and 2.30 pm on Tuesday. Rains/thundershowers occurred at isolated places in Telangana and at many places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh. As the upper air cyclonic circulation over West Central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast is persisting, thunderstorm with squall occurred on Tuesday in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema.
The chief amounts of rainfall were: Telangana - Bayyaram 6, Sathupalle, Garla, Dornakal 4 each, Gundala and Julurpad 2 each and Andhra Pradesh - Machilipatnam 5, Nuzvid, Bheemavaram 4 each, Yelamanchili, Palakoderu and Narsapuram 3 each. In Telangana, the maximum temperatures markedly fell at one or two places. The highest maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius was recorded in Hanamkonda.
