Vijayawada: Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheswara Rao appealed to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to change his language. He said KCR has been making comments in frustration to damage TDP government and gain political mileage.

Speaking to media persons here on Friday, the Minister said that the TDP was not against the projects in Telangana. He said that he questioned whether the projects had necessary permission as mentioned in the 11th schedule of State Reorganisation Act.He said that the TDP government was trying to safeguard the interests of farmers of both Andhra and Telangana.

The Irrigation Minister said farmers of Nalgonda, Khammam, Krishna and Guntur districts are going to suffer heavily due to lack of water in future. The Minister pointed out that the TDP government was instrumental in bringing Krishna water to Hyderabad city. He alleged that KCR has been resorting to attack on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu only to gain political mileage.

He alleged that YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy colluded with KCR for personal gains and complained to President of India against Pattiseema project. He said Jagan was acting following the directions of KCR. The Minister said that Pattiseema project was aimed to supply water to Rayalaseema people.
