YS Jagan to take a holy dip in Godavari

YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to take a holy dip in the river Godavari in the ensuing Godavari Pushkaralu scheduled to be held from July 14 in Godavari districts.
YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to take a holy dip in the river Godavari in the ensuing Godavari Pushkaralu scheduled to be held from July 14 in Godavari districts. Speaking to the media, YSRCP leader Jyothula Nehru said that YS Jagan would visit East Godavari on July 15 to take part in the Godavari Pushkaralu.

'Pushkaram' in the Telugu states is held every 12 years and the state government is making elaborate arrangements on the lines of Kumbh Mela. Taking dip in river Godavari is the main feature of the 'Pushkaram'. More than 6,000 purohits will be taking part to help devotees to perform rituals. Some even come to Pushkaralu to pay their last respects to their ancestors.
