Guntur Police: YS Jagan Deeksha stopped due to family members' plea

With YSRCP leaders and supporters alleging that the Guntur Police had forcibly broken party Chief YS Jagan’s Deeksha on Tuesday despite him intending to continue to the fast, Guntur Superintendent of Police (SP) Trivikram has come forward with a clarification.

The SP said that YS Jagan was shifted to the hospital as per the request of the family members of the leader.
He further stated that YS Jagan’s family members who observed his deteriorating health informed the police.
The Superintendent of Police added that YS Jagan’s family waited until early morning to shift him to the hospital as the YSRCP activists and crowd will be less in number.
