AAP demands special status
The activists of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of the city took out a bicycle rally demanding that special category status be given to Andhra Pradesh.
Vijayawada: The activists of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of the city took out a bicycle rally demanding that special category status be given to Andhra Pradesh. The rally kick started at KBN College in One Town and ended at Giri Pradhakshina area of Indrakeeladri, in the city on Sunday.

Speaking about the rally, State leader of the party GS Phani Raj said that they demand Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to voice about the special category status. They expressed anguish over the silence of Prime Minister Modi during his visit to the capital city. "'We condemn the act of CM Naidu and Prime Minister on the foundation ceremony day of the proposed capital Amaravati. Chief Minister should come to the people and take their referendum on the needs and that
of the special category status'', he said.Aam Aadmi Party is keen that the State is also offered special packages also for under developed areas. Agitations would be taken out demanding the same, said Phani Raj. Central AP region coordinator Pothina Venkata Rama Rao, official spokesperson KVV Prasad, and other activists, students took part in the rally.
