With the heavy rains continuing to lash across Andhra Pradesh, the railway tracks are submerged in rain water. Due to this, Gautami Express got derailed in Kadapa district between Nandalur and Mettampalli stations. Kadapa district is witnessing the heavy downpour from the past 72 hours.

Currently, the railway workers are looking into the repair works on the tracks by clearing out the stones collected on the rails. Many trains have been cancelled owing to the incessant rains and another train route has been included - trains between Hyderabad and Chennai via Kadapa.
