VPT handles biggest ever vessel

Panamax vessel ‘mv Vishwa Preethi’ with a draft of 14.5 metres berthed at the inner harbour at the EQ1 (Adani Vizag Coal Terminal Pvt Limited) on Monday. This is the highest draft vessel ever handled in the inner harbour in the history Visakhapatnam Port. The vessel arrived with steam coal from South Africa.

This is the highest draft vessel ever handled in the inner harbour in the history Visakhapatnam Port. The vessel arrived with steam coal from South Africa.
The two dredging projects taken up by the port at an estimated expenditure of Rs 320 crore paved the way for handling the fully laden panama vessel of 14.5 metres in the inner harbour, said an official release from the Visakhapatnam Port Trust.
