Rs 4-crore plan to promote dairy farming

Four villages in the mandal have been selected for implementation of an action plan to promote dairy farming in a big way. Speaking to newsmen here on Wednesday, MPDO Srilatha said the plan would be implemented in Mallavemula, Rampalle, Thodendlapalle and Chintalacheruvu villages.

A bank loan of Rs one lakh would be provided to each woman beneficiary of village savings groups for the purchase of two milch cattle.
It was proposed to provide banks loans worth Rs 4 crore to 400 beneficiaries of the four villages. The plan would also enable rural women to achieve economic empowerment, the MPDO said.
