He was speaking at the district crime review meeting held at Suresh Bahuguna English Medium Police School here on Saturday.

The SP reviewed the previous year crime rate and cases at the meeting. The SP directed the officials to create awareness among the people on wearing helmets. It was necessary to wear helmet for the safety of the two-wheeler riders, he pointed out.

He also directed the police officials on highway to intensify the patrolling and use the vehicles allotted to them. He also directed the officials to create awareness on the fake agents who were cheating the people with foreign dream for livelihood. Innocents hoping higher income were approaching these fake agents for the jobs and losing their money.

DSPs P Bhaskara Rao, Pydeswara Rao, G Venkateswara Rao, J Venkatrao, N Venkateswara Rao, M Sudhakara Rao, N Muralikrishna, Y Ravikrishna Kumar, Rajeswara Reddy and other police officials participated in the review meeting. Earlier in the morning, the SP, DSPs, CIs and SIs went to Tadikelapudi police firing range near Eluru and practiced firing.
