Witchcraft couple burnt alive
A wife and husband were burned alive by the locals under the suspicions of witchcraft in Makkuva mandal of Vizianagaram, late on Tuesday night. According to Salur CI K Ramakrishna, K Pandu (40) and his wife Seethamma (35) residents of Kothakamuduvalasa village under Peddavalasa panchayat of Makkuva mandal were suspected of witchcraft after, K Srinu (25) of the same village died of ill health.
Salur (Vizianagaram): A wife and husband were burned alive by the locals under the suspicions of witchcraft in Makkuva mandal of Vizianagaram, late on Tuesday night. According to Salur CI K Ramakrishna, K Pandu (40) and his wife Seethamma (35) residents of Kothakamuduvalasa village under Peddavalasa panchayat of Makkuva mandal were suspected of witchcraft after, K Srinu (25) of the same village died of ill health.
Following the incident, the locals have organised a meeting in the village and labeled that the couple as the reason for death and burned them alive. Parvathipuram ASP Siddarth Kowshik visited the scene of crime on Wednesday and directed the police personnel to register a case and arrest the accused. However, all men from the village absconded leaving women and children.
