MLA warns officials of action

Yemmiganur (Kurnool): MLA B V Jayanageswara Reddy on Saturday breathed fire on Gonegandla mandal officials and warned them of severe repercussions if they did not mend their ways.
Participating in the TDP activists’ meeting at the Gonegandla party office, he sent for MRO, MPDO and sub-inspector and severely reprimanded them stating that he had full information on how much they had taken from whom towards bribe to do official favours. He was reported to have curtly told them that the government would not require services of the corrupt and asked them to mend their ways.
Going a step further, he reportedly told them that he was aware of the officials’ role in illegal sand transportation. He was stated to have told them to check the sand smuggling before it tarnished the party image. The MLA’s response on one hand breathed energy into the party rank and file and on the other sent shivers down the spine of errant officials.
Settibalija community members felicitated the MLA as a token of gratitude for the government allocating Rs 1,000 crore in the budget for the community, which is unprecedented, offering them various subsidies.
