‘Paramedics playing a vital key role in rural health’

Tirupati: Paramedics (rural physicians) are playing a vital role in creating health awareness and extending medicare in rural areas, said Tirupati MLA M Suguna while addressing the Telugu Nadu Community Paramedics Association general body meeting here on Saturday.

MLA said it was the paramedics whom the people of the rural areas particularly in remote villages approach first in case any medical emergency and stressed on the association to take up skill development programme for the paramedics to do better services.

Association president PL Venkat Rao said that the association which is having 23,000 members in the two Telugu speaking States are striving for the betterment of the paramedics. He said that the paramedics are ready to lend their support to the government initiatives for improving medical and health care facilities in rural areas where the people are still suffering from lack of proper medical facilities.
