Koilkuntla (Kurnool): Giving up his 12-year-old self-imposed political isolation, Bijjam Parthasarathi Reddy on Sunday declared his decision to take plunge into active politics bringing cheers to TDP rank and file and his followers.

Bijjam family had rivalry with former MLA Katasani Rami Reddy and both the families indulged in faction feud resulting in death of many followers of both leaders. rked out between both the factions in the presence of the then Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Bijjam has been maintaining a low profile politically in the district.

In the changed political scenario following bifurcation of the State, he evinced interest to take part in active politics and nursed an ambition to contest Nandyal Lok Sabha seat or from any Assembly segment.

He appreciated Bhuma Nagireddy joining the TDP and dismissed YSRCP allegations of TDP inducing its party MLAs offering money as the bait. He contended that the leaders are joining the TDP attracted by Chandrababu Naidu’s policies and programmes.

He exuded confidence that Chandrababu will fulfil electoral promises to the people.

Ever since the TDP came to power, there was no political victimisation in his native village Chennampalli, he said adding that he is leading the life of a normal political leader bidding adieu to faction politics.
