The ZP general body meeting was held here on Thursday. A majority of the ZPTC members and MPPs raised the issue of irresponsibility of medical and health department. They alleged that doctors at Primary Health Centers were not at all receiving the cases and simply referring the patients to Vizianagaram or KG Hospital. The poor people could not go to the long distances for treatment.
Some others demanded that the government provide drinking water in their villages in summer. MLC of YSRCP K Veerabhadra Swamy complained that cement concrete road works were not yet started in the Panchayats where sarpanches belong to YSRCP. He said that the works were started only in the Pahcayats of ruling TDP sarpaches.
ZPTC of Giyammavalasa demanded that the Rural Water Supply authorities provide drinking water during summer. All the bore wells in that mandal were under repair, he said. Collector M M Nayak said that all the MPPs and ZPTCs could conduct review meetings on health and water supply system to stabilise the situation in their areas.
‘Mudragada misguiding Kapus’
Later, Minister Mrinalini interacted with media and said that Mudragada Padmanabham was misguiding all Kapu community with his false statements. Both Padmanabham and Manda Krishna Madiga were blackmailing the government with their statements and putting deadlines. Though the government was honoring the demands of Mudragada, he continue to blackmail the government with his demands.
“The government won’t accept such attitude but we are committed for welfare of public,” she said. Earlier, she inaugurated Kasturba Balika Vidyalaya building at Bhogapuram. District Collector M M Nayak, ZP Chairperson S Swathi Rani, MLAs P Narayanaswami Naidu, K Lalitha Kumari, M Geetha, B Chiranjeevulu MLCs G Srinivasulu Naidu, G Sandhya Rani, D Jagadish and others participated in the meeting.
