Addressing the media in Hyderabad, the YSRCP MLA said that the industrial sector will be affected even though the domestic sector is excluded from the hike and the common man will face the burden. Srikanth Reddy further spoke about the TDP government's hike in power charges by Rs 941 crores for 2015-16 and pointed out the Rs 216 cores burden for the year 2016-17 aggregating to Rs 1,150 crores. Citing the promise made by TDP government before the polls on no hike in power and RTC charges, the YSRCP leader said that RTC charges have been increased once while power charges have increased twice.
