He said that the Central government allotted Rs 200 crore for Polavaram project against Rs 4,092 cr. Ramakrishna said that the Centre should sanction Rs 13,000 crore to help the State government overcome the financial crisis caused due to the State bifurcation. He regretted that the Centre sanctioned only Rs 200 crore for Amaravati capital development as against the demand for Rs 8,000 crore.

The CPI leader flayed the BJP government for not fulfilling the promises made under AP Reorganisation Act. It has also failed to accord special status to the State, Ramakrishna pointed out. He said BJP president Amit Shah misled people in a public meeting at Rajamahendravaram by stating that the Central government sanctioned Rs 1.40 lakh crore to Andhra Pradesh.

The CPI leader also pointed that Governor ESL Narasimhan addressing the joint session of the State Assembly, mentioned that the Central government failed to provide special status to State and allot funds for the backward regions. He said the BJP-TDP alliance has not proved beneficial to the people of Andhra Pradesh.

He demanded that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu should release a white paper on the funds released by Central government to the State government so far.
