Biometric system for Nitya Annadhanam scheme
MLC Buddha Venkanna formally offered special prayers on the temple premises and inspected the functioning of the biometric attendance system.
Vijayawada: In a bid to curb irregularities in the implementation of Nitya Annadhanam scheme offered to the devotees, officials of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam has introduced biometric attendance system on Friday.
MLC Buddha Venkanna formally offered special prayers on the temple premises and inspected the functioning of the biometric attendance system. It is known that not less than 5,000 devotees would be provided free meals everyday on the temple premises. In the recent allegations over the implementation of annadanam scheme, officials have decided to introduce biometric attendance system to benefit the devotees visiting the temple from longer distance.
On the occasion, the MLC also guided the officials to provide free meals to the devotees under hygienic conditions.
