Lenin’s birth anniversary celebrated

Vijayawada: The Left Parties and Students Organisations on Friday celebrated the 146th birth anniversary of the revolutionary leader V I Lenin at Lenin Centre here on Friday.
CPM State secretariat member Ch Babu Rao, veteran journalist C Raghavachari, APSYF founder president Navaneetham Sambasiva Rao and others paid tributes to Lenin by garlanding his statue at Lenin Centre. Speaking on the occasion, CPM leader Ch Babu Rao recalled the contributions of the leader in the formation of the Soviet Union. Inspired by the success of the Soviet Union, people of many countries had chosen to form socialist governments, he said. Lenin had successfully implemented the theory of Marxism by updating it to the changed needs of society. CPM Krishna district president R Raghu, CPI (ML) New Democracy State leader K Ravindra, Virasam leader A Krishna, Jana Sahithi secretary V Kumar and others were present.
