Digvijay Singh: BJP Ministerial panel could announce AP special status
Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh took up the issue of the special status category for Andhra Pradesh on Thursday wherein he stated that there is a possibility that a ministerial committee of the Union Cabinet could announce the promised Special Category Status.

Addressing the media in New Delhi, Digvijay Singh faulted the BJP-led government for not fulfilling even a single promise in the 2 years of governance and said that it could at least fulfill the promise to AP by according special status.
Pointing out that the AP Reorganisation Bill was passed by the previous Congress-led government with senior BJP leaders endorsing the bill, the Congress MP said that the BJP government, if had any good intentions for AP, would have supported the Private Member's Bill presented by Congress leader KVP Ramachandra Rao.
