Tirupati: Power supply from as many as 60 feeders (transformers) were disrupted after they broke down due to snapping power lines in
the seven districts under APSPDCL including Chittoor, Kadapa, Anantapur, Nellore, Prakasam, Guntur and Krishna Districts, according to
SPDCL Chairman cum Managing Director HY Dora.

In a press release here on Wednesday, Dora said that the power lines were disrupted due to various reasons including falling of the tree
branches on the lines following high speed winds in the seven districts on May 10. The details of the 60 feeders which broke down
include Chittoor 13, Kadapa 4, Anantapur 23, Prakasam 7, Kirshna 3, Guntur 4 and Nellore 6. He said the staff were pressed into service
to restore the power supply which was resumed within 24 hours.

It may be noted here that power supply from 55 feeder transformers were disrupted following the snapping of power line due to gusty
