TDP: Jagan causing hindrance to projects in AP

Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao along with TDP party spokesman Manikyala Varaprasad came down strongly against YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for taking up the fast that is, in turn, causing hindrance to the irrigation projects.

Speaking to the media in Kadapa, Devineni Uma said that while the state government is working towards solving the farmers' problems, YS Jagan was interfering with the Pattiseema and Polavaram projects. The TDP leaders said that the government had supplied water to farmers even in Kadapa, but Jagan was unnecessarily making allegations as he was not able to digest the programmes taken up by the State government.

The Irrigation Minister further claimed that the state was able to save 40 tmc water until now with the construction of Pattiseema project. Manikyala Varaprasad too claimed that the state would be able to achieve higher benefits by aligning with the Centre but Jagan was only provoking the people. Speaking on the Special Category Status, the party spokesman said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was pursuing it for the state and the TDP was relentlessly working towards it with the Centre.
