Tirupati: Following a clash between TDP and YSRCP activists, tense situation is prevailing in Pakala, 40 km from here on Friday. According to information reaching here, it all started with an altercation between a group of 3 youth supporters of YSCRP and Telugu Yuvatha mandal president Kishore Naidu in the bus stand in Pakala town.

It is alleged that the youth roughed up Kishore Naidu, who went away only to bring his party activists to retaliate. Meanwhile, the YSRCP youth also called their supporters who assembled in the bus stand. However, the timely intervention of police saw the warring groups were kept at a distance avoiding a clash.

The YSRCP activists regrouped near a temple away from the bus stand. The TDP activists, who left after the request of police, came back and attacked the YSRCP activists leading to a clash between them in which four YSRCP sustained injuries. Police using mild force dispersed both the groups.

As a precautionary measure, additional forces were brought in from Penumur and Puthalapattu. Meanwhile, the YSRCP activists resorted to dharna at the bus stand condemning the TDP activists attack on them and demand the arrest of TDP workers, who were involved in the attack.
