Addressing press corps here on Friday, chief advisor of the association Kota Sankara Sharma said that they will ask all parties to allocate tickets for 10 per cent of seats in State and 15 per cent in General elections. “Brahmin Welfare Corporation has to be set up at the national level to ensure that the community insurance, unemployment pension, better facilities for education and medical services are doled out to the beneficiaries from the community.

A package of Rs 10,000 crore for the upliftment of community has to be sanctioned along with earmarking a 19 per cent reservation in education and employment sectors,” he demanded. Sarma said that each State body of the association would work for setting up a welfare corporation.

National president of the association Pandit Bhanwar Lal Sharma will preside over the all-India meeting, where several renowned people from the community across the country would take part.
