YSRCP objects to serial numbers for ballot papers

Nellore: The YSRCP corporators exchanged heated arguments with officials over the allocation of serial numbers to ballot papers in connection with the election to standing committee. They boycotted the election process and staged the protest in the premises of Nellore Municipal Corporation (NMC).

The YSRCP floor leader Roopkumar Yadav criticised the NMC Commissioner and election officer K Venkateswarlu for showing enthusiasm to provide serial numbers to ballot papers. The police officials dispersed the agitating YSRCP workers. Earlier, the TDP corporators exercised their franchise while the YSRCP corporators sat on the podium and shouted slogans against the election process.
