River linking vital for Srikakulam development
People should cooperate for the development of district, said Minister for Labour K Atchannaidu, MP K Rammohan Naidu, MLA G Laxmidevi on the occasion of Nava Nirmana Deeksha here on Thursday. To mark the State bifurcation day, Shobha Yatra was taken out from the old bus stand area to Seven Roads junction here after garlanding the statue of Potti Sriramulu.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Atchannaidu said that river linking and industries are more important for the development of Srikakulam and he urged the people to cooperate with the government. MP K Rammohan Naidu and MLA G Laxmidevi reminded how injustice was meted out to the State during the bifurcation and sought cooperation of the people for the development of the State.
Collector P Laxminarasimham, Joint Collector Vivek Yadav, DRO Krishan Bharathi also spoke. Nava Nirmana Dekshalu were conducted in all the Assembly segments headquarters across the district.
