Vijayawada: Headmasters of Urdu Medium Schools on Thursday demanded that the education department should restore distribution of free textbooks at the distribution point located in Labbipet.

In a statement here on Thursday, they said distribution at Patamata Zilla Parishad high school became very chaotic since the staff in the school and staff working in the education department did not know Urdu language.

The Urdu High School head masters are alleging that the staff of education department in the distribution point at Patamata ZP high school misbehaved with the Urdu school headmistresses who went to collect textbooks for their students on Thursday.

They are asking the education department to send the text books to stock point at Labbipet to avoid confusion. They said their problems will be solved if the education department sends the Urdu Medium government text books to the old point at Labbipet.

The head masters said that the education department staff at Patamata Zilla Parishad high school distribution point kept the bags inside the godown and locked without allowing the teachers to take the Urdu text books. They demanded an action on the misbehaved staff who refused to give the text books supplied by the government.
