Efforts on to develop Chittoor as education hub ZP chief
Speaking on the occasion, Girvani said that focus should be on improving educational standards in schools. She stated that teachers play a crucial role in developing scientific temper among students.
Chittoor: ZP Chairperson Girvani and Chittoor MLA DK Satyaprabha have inaugurated Tagore Educational Centre at Kongareddy Palli here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Girvani said that focus should be on improving educational standards in schools. She stated that teachers play a crucial role in developing scientific temper among students.
The ZP Chief said that the Chief Minister has been making efforts to develop Chittoor district as an education hub.
Satyaprabha expressed anguish that some corporate schools and colleges are exploiting the educational needs of gullible poor parents. She stressed on the need for healthy competition among private educational institutions.
She stated that reservation for SC ST BC and Minorities should be made mandatory in private schools.
In-charge Mayor Subramanyam admitted that the standards have gone down in the city’s municipal schools. He said that corporation commissioner should make surprise visit to municipal schools to know their working conditions. TDP leader Praveen and others were present.
